Tony Blair's Wife to Host Show on UK Street Crime

According to the Manchester Evening News, Cherie Blair (pictured left), wife of former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, will lead a group of experts in a television report which will focus on street crime as a part of Channel 4's "Gun and Knife Crime Season."

Mrs. Blair, who is also a barrister known as Cherie Booth QC, said "as a barrister and part-time judge, I have to sentence offenders who have committed crimes with such weapons and have seen for myself the misery that they cause, not only to the victims but to themselves and their families."

Blair and a group of experts also hope to offer serious solutions to lowering gun and knife crime across the country.

No word yet on an airing date for the report.
